John Luongo, Managing Director

John Luongo is a former member of the New York City police department entering the job in 1981 and retiring in 1998. During this time Mr. Luongo served in a variety of challenging and diverse assignments. Starting as a “street cop” assigned to uniform patrol he quickly moved on to the plainclothes anti-crime team, precinct detective squad burglary team and the organized crime control bureau conducting investigations and undercover operations regarding organized crime activity in the five boroughs of New York. Upon promotion to Sergeant Mr. Luongo was assigned to Midtown Manhattan and served first as a patrol supervisor, then supervisor in charge of the street narcotics enforcement unit all in the Midtown South Precinct. Following these assignments Mr. Luongo was assigned to the Midtown North Precinct and became the Squad Commander of the “Broadway Squad” which covered the theater district and was responsible for the safety and security of the millions of New Yorkers, tourists, dignitaries and celebrities that visited or worked in the district each year. During this time, Mr. Luongo was elected by his peers to serve as the Manhattan south director of the Sergeant’s Benevolent Association and represent the 500 Sergeants assigned to Patrol Borough Manhattan regarding contract, health and welfare and disciplinary hearings. Upon retirement, Mr. Luongo became the head of security in North America for the Royal Family of Brunei. Based in the New York Palace Hotel. Mr. Luongo directed and implemented procedures relating to various issues encompassing personal security, hotel security and investigative services regarding properties and operations throughout North America.

Mr. Luongo is a licensed private investigator in New York and Florida and a contract investigator maintaining a sercurity clearance to conduct investigation for the federal government. Mr. Luongo is the managing director of protection advisory and currently coordinates all activities the firm is involved in.
